Last May 28, the D-STEM team and the Royal College of Art's (RCA) Laura Salisbury and Clair Miller came together to review the ideas of Diocesan Girls Society students, Over the past few weeks, students were tasked to ideate solutions to real-world challenges via the Discover and Define stages of the workshop, which they presented to the D-STEM team and the RCA tutors.
A wide array of ideas were presented from a AI-enabled and POF-enabled triage band that helps nurses and doctors identify patients in need, to a smart jacket that lights up when a climber is needing help. The D-STEM team and the RCA tutors were impressed by the ideas presented, and the eloquence by which the students presented them.
